Obituary for Aljean Porter

Aljean Porter was born to Rosie and Henry Paige on October 19, 1946 in
Tchula Mississippi (both preceded her in death).

Early in her life, Aljean graduated from both Kerwin Switch Elementary
School in Cruger, Mississippi and Tchula Attendance Center H.S. in Tchula,
Mississippi.

Aljean praised and worshiped at many churches over the years, but did not
have a church home.

Over 45 years ago, she was united with the love of her life, her beloved
husband Edward Porter of Jackson, Mississippi. They spent many years
creating memories, dancing, laughing and enjoying life to the fullest while
sharing lots of love in their hearts for one another.

She was a loving & devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed
spending time with her family, cooking and glamming up in her lavish jewelry.

Aljean will always be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt, cousin and friend to many. To know her was to love her. She was loved
by many and will be truly missed by us all.

She is preceded in death by: Her brother, Willie D. Paige; two sisters-in-law,
Edna Wilson & Ruby Porter; three brothers-in-law, Pete Bennett, Samuel Jones
& Robert Jones.

daughters: Shirley (Charles) & Sophia; four sons: Andrew, Edward (Shelia),

and Georgia; one brother: Henry; two sisters-in-law: Ollie & Earnestine;
