Obituary for Anthony Thomas

Anthony Thomas, affectionately known to his close family and
friends, as Fat Daddy, was born July 12, 1957 on the South
Side of the Chicago, IL. Anthony accepted Christ at an early
age and recommitted himself to his faith later on in life.
Anthony graduated from Frances W. Parker Senior High School
with the class of 1975.
Anthony was a master carpenter and worked as a manual
laborer with several companies throughout his employment
years be he retired from Kimco where he was a maintenance
worker.
Anthony was one of four sons and three daughters [maternal in
relation from Mary Ann Booker], Walter Thomas, Angie Harrell,
Joanne Smallwood, Lorena Keenan and Richard Thomas, all
preceded him in death.
Anyone who spent any significant time around Anthony will
certainly attest to his infectious sense of humor, strong opinion
and unyielding generosity.
On Thursday, June 4, 2020, after a long battle with failing
health, Anthony entered his new transition.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His daughter, Aaliyah
Thomas; an elder brother, Hoover Thomas; Lillie Young, Avery
R. Young, Angela Young-Smith (Kevin Smith), Carseda Young
and Shana Young; and a host of other family and friends who
will miss him dearly.
