Barbara Ann Adams “Bobby Joe” was born August 18, 1948 in Lambert, Mississippi to Mr. and Mrs.
Virgil Sr. and Octora Adams who precede her in death. She was the second born of eleven children.
Four of her siblings, three of her children, and one of her great grandchildren all preceded her in death.
Barbara attended Gregory Elementary School and later Hess High School.
Barbara confessed in Christ at an early age. Barbara had not set her heart on a lifelong career instead
she chose the freedom of working in a variety of fields. Barbara was the energy in a room full of
people. She would make you laugh and cuss you out all in the same sentence. Barbara was true to the
woman she wanted to be. Barbara was one hell of a woman and heaven has truly gained an angel.
She will be missed by every life that she impacted. She was a great mother, grandmother, great grand-
mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Life will not be the same without her around.
On Sunday evening of February 13, 2022, Barbara was called home to be with the Lord and those
who preceded her in death: Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Sr and Octora Adams; one sister, Shirley;
three brothers, Frank, Virgil (Tony) and Arthur; three daughters, Victoria, Angelnet and Katrina; and
her great grandson, Martin Duncan.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: Two daughters, Sohnny and Rochelle; one son, Johnny, all of
Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren
with one on the way; eight sisters, Minnie, Mary, Annette (Norman), Octora, Valerie (Thomas),
