Barbara Denise Smiley was born on March 15, 1963 in Little
Rock, AR to the union of Betty and John Smiley of Little Rock,
AR.
Barbara was baptized at a young age.
Barbara attended Nathaniel Dett Grammar School and Crane
High School where she pursued her education. Barbara enjoyed
listening to music, rocking and spending time with her sisters.
She enjoyed listening to stories about her children.
Barbara departed this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Betty and John Smi-
ley of Little Rock, AR; her sisters, Cynthia Jackson and Zenieth
Smiley; her brother, Brian Smiley; and her life long partner,
Raymond Tyson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her five sons, Jamarr, Wil-
lie, John, Isiah and Mack; two daughters, Jaimie and Jessica;
twelve grandchildren, Jeremiah, Brooklyn, Keturah, Lundynn,
Zariaha, Karma, Jaylan, Julian, Cecelia, Xavier, Zyaire and
Cree; sisters, Jaqueline Smiley, Kanika Smiley and Sandra K.
Gaston; five nieces, five nephews and a host of great nieces,
great nephews, cousins and many other relatives.
