Charles L. Wooten was born January 18, 1941 in
Starkville, MS to Anthony Wooten and Mary Lena Hogan-
Wooten.
He attended Church with his siblings every Sunday. He
accepted Christ into his life at an early age. Charles
attended school regularly until he moved to Chicago. He
liked singing gospel music and listening to the radio. He
loved to sing and he had an amazing voice. He worked at
Goodwill for about 16 years and numerous factories until
he retired.
Charles met Annie Lee Gordon-Wooten at an early age,
they married in 1982. She preceded him in death. Five
brothers; James, Sammie, Felix, Anthony Jr. and Roy all
preceded him in death.
He departed life on November 30, 2020 at St. Mary
Hospital.
He leaves to cherish his memory: One daughter, Felicia;
and stepson, Gregory; grandchildren, Lena Ann, Lil
Gregory, Capri, Bradon, Ericka, Demoshay and Deja;
three brothers, Otis (Willie Mae), Eddie Gene (Joyce) and
William T; three sisters, Annie Sue (John), Katie (George)
and Faye (Charles A.); and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
