Walter and Cora moved to Chicago in 1957 seeking a better life for them-
selves and their children. Walter preceded her in death December 1970.
After seventeen years, she later married Leon Baker, who also preceded her
in death.
Cora L. was a founding member of Jordan Temple M.B. Church, where she
served on the Usher board as President and member until her health started
failing. She loved welcoming people to Jordan Temple.
Cora leaves to cherish her memories: Three devoted children, Janie M.
