Dionne Riggins was born to the proud parents of Jessie and
Marie Riggins. She was the fourth child born to this union.
Dionne enjoyed life and all that it had to offer. She was a very
helpful person; she would lend a helping hand to anyone who
asked her. Dionne was a people person. The jobs she worked
were connected in that way. She worked for Pace Bus Company
as a driver for disabled individuals. She was also a hairstylist; she
enjoyed creating styles for her girls, nieces, mother and friends.
It is with great sorrow that Dionne passed away on Saturday,
October 30, 2021. She will be greatly missed by all who knew
and loved her.
Preceding her in death is: Her father, Jessie Riggins, Sr.; a
brother, Paul Calbert; a sister, Diane Richardson; and a niece,
Kierra Richardson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Marie Calbert-Riggins
(mother); four daughters, Amanda (Alexi), Amber, Asiah and
Alanna; six grandchildren, Marquel, Maniya, Alexi, Jr., A'onesty,
Ar'shuan and De'Lani; three brothers, Daniel Calbert (Tia), Jessie
Riggins, Jr. and Ricky Wheatley; a sister, Danielle McGraw
(Nathan); four aunts, Sue, Mary, Shirley and Juliette; two uncles,
Charles (Daryl), Mack Riggins (Rose); and a host of cousins,
nieces, nephews and friends. Dionne had three very special
friends as well, Tarsha Ellis, Juanita Scott and Harriet White.
