Obituary for Don Earl Stanton

Don Earl Stanton was born August 19, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of John Earl and Liza
Mae Stanton. Both of his parents as well as his brother Albert Earl Stanton preceded him in death.

Don was fun-loving, outgoing and full of life. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age.
He attended Farragut High School in Chicago, IL.

Don worked various jobs as a laborer. He was a gifted handyman. Don enjoyed using his hands; he
could fix just about anything. He especially enjoyed working on cars and had to have a nice clean
car no matter what.

Don enjoyed stepping and listening to music. Music was a comfort to his soul. On any given day he
would wake up to playing his music that he couldn’t live without.

Don had a smile that would brighten your day. His conversation started and ended with a laugh.

Don was called home to rest on August 27, 2019. He will truly be missed by all.

Don leaves to cherish his memory: six children, Domeika Dehart, Antonio Nolton (Michelle), Latesha
Nolton, Latosha Nolton (Jesse), Donnita Nolton, Don Nolton (Gloria); twenty six grandchildren and
three great grandchildren; eight siblings, Norma Pryor (Willie), Lilmon Williams (Pierce), Geneva
Stanton, Gloria Tate (Kal), Patricia Stanton, Rodney Stanton, Anthony Stanton, and Antonia
Stanton; three aunts Almeita McLeod, Thelma Smith, and Mary Ann Huston; a special mother Lue
Nolton; a special friend Pauline Nolton; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
As kids, we lived together, we fought, we laughed, we cried. We did not always show the love
that we all had inside. We shared our dreams and plans, and some secrets too. All the memories
we share, is what bonds us to you. We grew to find we have a love that is very strong today. It’s a
love shared by our family, that will never fade away. You are my brother not by choice, but by the
nature of our birth I could not have chosen a better one. You were the best on earth.
Your Loving Siblings
