Obituary for Dwayne Moon

Dwayne Moon was born the third child of Patricia and Robert Moon on June 29, 1966, in Chicago
Illinois.
Dwayne was a man of strong faith and received Christ at an early age. He was a member of Greater
Chicago Church in Oak Park, Illinois.
Dwayne received his High School Diploma and went on to earn his Associates of Arts in Mental Health
and Addiction Studies.
Due to the many adversities he encountered, Dwayne decided to work towards his dream of helping
others. While maintaining an upbeat attitude and joyous smile, he was able to successfully work at
Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he continued to pursue his dream. Dwayne always
tried to lift others Spirits and maintain a positive outlook when it came to his job performance and the
relationships he maintained as a Team Member. He always pursued ways to increase his working
knowledge. He often offered a helping hand to anyone that needed assistance and would seek to help
others in the most friendly and kind manner. He worked countless hours and is noted for working on his
days off, especially during the most recent excruciating Pandemic. He loved his family and would be
extremely happy when he was able to be the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and all of the
family roles in which he found himself in.
Dwayne met his High School Sweetheart and now Wife at the tender age of 14. They both attended Orr
High School where he met lots of lifelong friends. In addition to working hard, Dwayne loved to play
hard as well. He absolutely loved to party. He is known to light up any social gathering he attended.
Dancing was his outlet to self-expression. His zest for life was contagious and when you were in his
presence you were guaranteed to have a good time. His favorite pastime was playing basketball. He
played the game from a kid throughout his adult life. Dwayne always strived to be the best and give one
hundred percent to anything he did.
