Obituary for Earnestine Sivels

Ernestine Sivels was born April 10, 1925, in Chicago, IL. She was the first
child of Elmore and Lawrence Sivels. Ernestine accepted Christ at an early
age and continued to be in the service of the Lord all the days of her life. She
attended Jesus House of Prayer located on the northside of Chicago, where
she served on the Mother’s Board for many years. Ernestine graduated from
Wallerian High School in 1943, and later in years she attended George Crane
College, where she received her Associates Degree. She was hired at Rush St.
Luke Hospital as a Ward Clerk and then on to various departments, with
25yrs of service. Ernestine was admired by doctors and staff for her skills
and professionalism in handling confidential medical records. Ernestine had
two sisters Jean and Elgoria, one brother, Lawrence, who all precede her in
death. Ernestine leaves behind one sister, Shirley, four children, Gerald,
Ronald, Kevin, Darren, two children, Maurice, and Shirley Ann, who also pre-
cede her in death; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren. Mrs. Sivels believed in family and did all she could for them.
