Obituary for Estella Hardnick

Estella Lee Hardnick was born October 13, 1937 in Richmond, VA to the union of Eliza
and Joshua Jones. Both preceded her in death. Estella was the oldest of six children:
Eugene, James, Rebecca, Margaret and Richard.
Estella accepted Christ at an early age at Perkins Square Baptist Church in Baltimore,
MD. She was educated within the Baltimore, MD school system, where she earned her
high school diploma.
Prior to marriage she had one son. In 1957, she met and fell in love with Daniel Hardnick,
and moved to Chicago, IL. To this union seven more children were born. She was a hard-
working woman in the Chicago metropolitan area for over 30 years. She retired as an
home health caregiver to help take care of her grandchildren.
Estella had the biggest heart, and loved everyone she came in contact with. She always
made sure everyone was taken care of. Estella spread love unconditionally. BUT if you
made her mad, you better “GO TO S***!!”
Estella enjoyed watching the Food Network, the Price is Right, and Let’s Make a Deal
every morning.
Estella made her transition on January 1, 2020 at MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn, IL.
Estella leaves behind to cherish her memories: Her sister, Margaret and brother Richard
(Sheila); sister-in-law, Theresa Hardnick; her children, Ricky (Donna) Jones, Barbara Davis,
Veronica Hardnick, Sugar (Gary) Zaucha, Christine (Solomon) Temple, Daniel Hardnick Jr.,
