Obituary for Frank Starling

Frank Starling was born to Queenola Starling on March 12, 1957 in Chicago IL. During his
toddler years he lived on the West side of Chicago, a few years later he then moved to the
South Side of Chicago.
Although Frank was raised on the rough streets of Chicago, that didn't deter him from the
desire to complete his education. He completed four years of High School, Graduated, and
received his Diploma in 1975. After graduating from high school, he applied to Ohio State
University, which is the highest ranked University in Ohio. He went on to complete his four
year tenure at Ohio State, and received his Bachler's Degree in Education. With those creden-
tials he was amazingly successful in getting a teaching job at Simeon High School. He was so
driven when it came to learning he went on to further his quest for knowledge, and ultimately
received his Master's Degree, and became a Professor of Education. Frank was very intelli-
gent, and could articulate very well, and enjoyed holding intellectual conversations. He often
spoke on the importance of being educated. He was somewhat mild mannered and reserved,
he would just look at you, nod and smile, and what a beautiful smile. He loved being outdoors
enjoying the fresh air. He loved playing baseball, taking long walks and bike riding. I'm sure
some of you didn't know this about Frank, but he loved gardening. Oftentimes he helped his
Aunt Dell plant greens and tomatoes in her backyard. He also loved to read, he would quite
often go to the park and sit on the bench and read his newspaper.
Frank will be truly missed by his loved ones, especially his brothers and sisters, which are:
Ralph, Lamont, Mary Ann, Cynthia, and Barbara.
His older brother Alex preceded him in death. His Grandmother Carrie Starling and Mother
Queenola Starling also preceded him in death.
Although Frank never fathered any children nevertheless, he loved and adored his nieces and
nephews, which are: Christopher J, Chacara, Chauncy, Queen, Christopher W, Shawnice,
Demetric, Damares, Durelle, Demonte, Kenisha, Amari, Antonio, Makai, Kiana, and Sarai.
Again, I say he will be sincerely missed. He also has an enormous amount of cousins and
other family members that will truly miss him as well.
