Obituary for Gabrielle Victoria Burns

Gabrielle Burns known as “Gaye” was born on June 11, 1984 in Chicago,
IL to Herrsterstine Burns and Darrly Mack.
Gabrielle confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at
Christian Love M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Pastor B.T.
Smith.
Gabrielle attended Suder Montessori Magnet Elementary School and Austin
Community Academy High School.
Gabrielle was a member of Main Attraction Dance Team where she per-
formed in the Bud Billiken parade. Her favorite place was being at home sit-
ting on the front porch in the comfort of her family. She never greeted fami-
ly members by their name. It was always “Hey Cuz” or “Hey Auntie”. She
was the type of person that would give you anything with no questions
asked that’s how kind she was and never held a grudge towards anyone.
Any time someone would make her mad she would say, “leave me alone, I’m
going in my room”. We all know her room was her sanctuary it brought her
peace.
