Obituary for Henry Lee Locket

Henry Lee Lockett was born on August 13, 1954 to the union of Jessie
Mae Lockett and Bill Lang in Pickensville, Alabama.
Henry Lee’s parents, grandparents, great grandparents and other preceded
him in death.
Henry confessed Christ at an early age at New Cumberland C.P. Church in
Carrolton, Alabama. He also completed his schooling in Alabama.
Henry Lee worked various jobs while he was in Alabama. He came to
Broadview, IL to live with his mother and cousin Lonnie Lockett. He also
met a true best friend and Godsister Annie Wilder and that’s when she took
him under her wings. They fought at first but he eventually knew she was
all he had and they had the best relationship that a brother and sister could
ever have.
Henry Lee worked at Tropical Times, a Jamaican Restaurant in Maywood,
IL until he could no longer work.
Henry Lee’s past time was always being social with his friends he met along
the way, but I never knew that he was a ladies man. He would say “Hey
sweetheart” or “Hey Baby” to all women. He was very flirtatious and that
smile would pull them in. He would give you the shirt off his back with no
questions asked.
My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called him home to be with Him on June
25, 2021 at 12:07 p.m. and gave him his wings.
Henry Lee leaves to cherish his memories: Godsister and best friend, Mrs.
Annie P. (Alphonsia) Wilder of Bellwood, IL; stepson, Jermaine Howard of
Macon, MS; niece, Tamia Ballenger of Maywood, IL; great nephew,
Demond Wright of Maywood, IL; two great nieces, DeMiyah and Iyanna of
Maywood, IL; cousins, Linda Robinson (Darryl) of Huntsville, AL, Vanessa
Reed (Jeffrey) of Lipscomb, AL, Tasha Mearday (Tyrone) of Bellwood, IL,
Micheal Lockett of Huntsville, AL and Ricky Lark of Pickensville, AL; and a
great host of cousins and dearest friends.
