Obituary for Hilda Bonita Cage

Hilda Bonita Cage was born on August 30, 1942 in Morgan City,
Louisiana to the late Nancy Stokes and Clarence Gray.

Hilda left Morgan City at the age of twenty. She became a member
of Unity Fellowship M.B. Church during that time.

Hilda worked as a cook for Chicago Public Schools, until she
retired.

Hilda married her beloved husband J.C. Cage on July 18, 1963.
she spent the rest of her life with him, raising their family.

Hilda was called to her heavenly home on August 30, 2019. She is
preceded in death by: Her parents, Nancy and Clarence Gray; and
her sisters, Dorothy Gray, Patricia Douglas, Sadie Wilson and
Mildred Dixon.

Hilda leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband, J.C. Cage;
her daughters, Vanessa Cage, Angela Cage, and Jennifer Cage;
also her son-in-law, Michael Norman; grandchildren, Jeremy Cage,
Michael Norman, Stacy Lewis, Brenai Cooper, Vanessa Norman,
Christian Cooper and Jordan Cage; great-grandchildren, Messiah
Cage, Myheir Norman, Kylie Cooper and Terrance Barnes; her
sisters, Janet Price, Barbara Watson; brother, Clarence Gray;
special people in her life, Ruth Banks, Curtis Darbney (Janice) Ava
Green and Angela Henderson; a long with a host of nieces, neph-
ews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

Her famous words, “Crap, Crap, Crap.”
