Obituary for Jesse Brocks

"Junior". "Uncle Jesse". Jesse Lee Brocks Jr. was born in Chicago March 7th
1952. The eldest son of Jesse and Annie Brocks grew up on the near west
side of the city. After completing his schooling at Crane High School, Jesse
enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1974 and after 4 years of service based in
San Diego, CA was honorably discharged. He went on to work for Union
Pacific Railroad for many years before settling in Maywood, IL with his first
wife, Colleen Weems. To their union was born his daughter, Jessica. He later
married Joanne and to this union he had a son, Jesse Brocks III. Jesse also
has sons Toby & Cory Brocks.
From the time of his young manhood, "Junior" was known for several things:
Cadillacs, clothes, and spending time with his people, including the Mothers
of his children, his siblings and their children. No one who knew him will
forget his deep voice (loud at times), his rolling laugh and his willingness to
argue with you. He was generous to his family when he could be.
After battling several illnesses for some years, Jesse finished his race on this
earth Saturday morning February 26th 2022.
Uncle Jesse leaves to cherish his memory: Four children (Toby, Cory, Jessica,
Jesse III), three grandchildren (Ladonte Brocks, Javion Williams, James Mays
Jr.), five siblings (Lenora, Regina, Michael, Candice, Tyrone) and many nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends. His parents (Jesse and Annie) and two siblings
(Joseph and Magnolia) preceded him in death.
Rest Well, dear Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. You will be missed.
