Obituary

Jessie Kimble Jr. was born June 17, 1959 in Jackson, Mississippi to Jessie
Kimble Sr. who preceded him in death and Annie Kimble. He was the second
born of ten children. His brother Lucius preceded him in death.
Jessie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership
of his late uncle Bishop Clarence Thatch at the Upper Room Spiritual Church.
Jessie met his lifelong partner Barbara in 1981. They were united in Marriage on
February 17, 1996. Out of this love and union four children were born.
Jessie attended Manley High School and later went to attend Job Corp where he received a trade in Auto
Mechanics. He soon started working for himself and was affectionately known throughout the neighborhood
as “Dobb”. Everyone knew when they would come by “Keystone” you would be in for a good time of laughs
and Dobb was not far away.
On March 18, 2020 Jessie departed this life at Mercy Hospital.
Jessie leaves to cherish: His devoted wife, Barbara Kimble, two daughters, Tamika Kimble and Jessica Kim-
ble; two sons, Jessie Kimble III and Jeremiah Kimble; his loving mother, Annie Kimble; three granddaughters
Ja’Ziyah, Londyn, and Ja’Kyra; three grandsons, Denzel, Kalon, and Jace; three sisters, Mary (Gary), Lillie
(Joe), and Earnestine; five brothers, Anthony (Karen), Clarence, Jimmie, Tracy (Regina), and Tyrone; and a
host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The day I met you I had found the one whom my soul loves.
You complete me and make me a better person.
You was my first love and my last. There was no pretending
that you loved me and I loved you.
If there is a life after death I will love you then.
Love you forever and always
~Your wife, Barbara

I just want to start by saying I love you and always will then and forever. Writing this was a
struggle because words can’t express the hurt I felt when I lost you. Never in a million years
would I have thought so soon. A father, a role model, a handy man you succeeded at it. I wish we
had more days then the short ones lived. But I know you will always be with me in spirit.
~Love, Jessie III
