Jessie Mae Logan was born October 23, 1950, to the
union of J.D Edwards and Louise Featherston in Lambert
Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by: Her father, J.D Edwards; her
mother, Louise Featherston; her daughter, Linda Edwards;
and granddaughters, Jessica and Melinda
Edwards.
She came to Chicago in 1973 where she met Otha Logan
and married him in 1986...
Jessie received her formal education in the Mississippi public school system. Jessie
graduated from March High School.
She was employed with the Chicago Public School and worked in the food and
nutrition department and the custodian department for over 30 years.
Jessie dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1983, as she continues to hold in faith. She was
very enthusiastic whether it was going to work and interacting with children or
spending time with her loved ones cooking, dancing, laughing and listening to
music. She also loved going to the kingdom hall, field service. Her most proud
moments were when she had her children. Now that we lay her down to rest and
remember all the good times she shared throughout her beautiful life.
Jessie fell asleep in death on May 09, 2021, at Rush University Medical Center in
Chicago IL.
She leaves to cherish: Her husband, Otha Logan; her daughters, Cary (Nigel, Sylethia,
Kareem Nagee, Nyeem, Nathan) and Tasha (Vintrell, Marquita, Gina, Adrian) and
Tyshee Feathston; her sons, J.D. (Jhon, Jonathan, Ebony, Jasmine) and Charles Edwards
(Charles JR); also her special grandkids, Adrain Logan, Cornelius Edwards and Ebony
Brown…...
