John C. Daniels, affectionately known as “Black John”, was born on June 16, 1957 in
Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Johnnie Collins and Cleo Daniels. Both parents
preceded him in death. Two brothers, Jeffrey and Oatis Daniels; three sisters, Christina
Daniels, Kathleen Norington and Rebecca Perkins; and one brother-in-law, Berry Perkins,
also preceded him in death
John attended Austin High School and worked at Apex Box Company. He confessed in
Christ at an early age. John was very helpful to others, he loved being around his family.
He was the life of all parties. John departed this life on Friday, December 3, 2021.
John leaves to cherish his memories: Three children, Lashonda Bell, Johnnie Williams and
John Luckey, all of Chicago, IL; one sister, Bernice Daniels of Chicago, IL; eight grand-
children and four great-grandchildren; seven aunties, Delores, Lizzie, Pearline, Frankie
Lee, Gloria, Hannah and Ethel; two uncles, Hines and James; one brother-in-law, Carl
Norington; two sisters-in-law, Veronica and Arlilla Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
