Jovante King was born into life January 3, 1993 Chicago, IL
to Mary King and Michael Martin. Jovante was the fifth
child out of eight siblings.
Jovante is preceded in death by: His grandfather,
Rufus Childs; grandfather, Lee Burke; grandmother,
Betty Martin; and grandmother, lvamae King Byrd.
Jovante was a very bright outgoing man with a
great heart. He loved being around family and
friends! Jovante was always a giving person who
would give his last if he had too. His smile was
as big as his heart. Jovante was always in great
spirits when he was around. Jovante loved when
his mom cooked for him, it didn't matter what the
meal was; he was going to eat her cooking. He
would always come over to his mom's house and ask
her to cook him some chicken.
Jovante leaves with love to cherish his memory: One
daughter, Journi lvyann King (Marilyn); mother, Mary
King; father, Michael Martin; seven sisters, Shyvettie,
Monique, Tamika, Erica, Veronica, Kamille and
Christina; four brothers, Cameo, Lil Mike, Shelton and
Chris; sixteen nieces and nephews; and a host of
aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends
