Katrina Marie Beasley was born on November 19, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Dennis and
Willa Beasley who both preceded her in death.
Katrina accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Greater Damascus Full Gospel Church under
the leadership of the late Pastor Curtis Brooks.
Katrina attended Marshall High School where she was an outstanding student and made life long
friendships. Commando for life! She worked various jobs over the years where she built lasting
relationships and had an impact on everyone she encountered. Trina was employed by Jackson Hewitt
for several years where she met and befriended many of her clients. She prepared taxes for many
families throughout the westside and surrounding areas. Everywhere she went she was recognized as
Trina the tax lady. Family and friends often joked that she was a local celebrity. She had a special bond
with her current team at Redfin.
Trina was a selfless person with a huge heart and would give you her last. The love she showed her
family and friends was immeasurable, she had a heart of gold. With her radiant personality and hysterical
sense of humor she made friends everywhere she went. To know her was to love her. Trina’s hobbies
included traveling, fine dining, and listening to good music. Traveling was her most favorite. She and
her friends traveled abroad at least 2-3 times a year. They made countless memories and have
thousands of pictures to treasure.
Trina was a jokester and loved making people laugh, but she was also very gentle and had a heart for
people. She loved very hard and everyone loved her the same in return. Trina will be greatly missed by
us all.
On Friday July 10, 2020, Trina was called from labor to rest.
Her parents Dennis and Willa Beasley preceded her in death.
Katrina leaves to cherish her memory: Two sisters, Jeanette Phillips and Cheryl Beasley; one brother,
Timothy Beasley; aunts, Delores Shelton and Lorraine Upshaw; uncle, Tyrone Upshaw; four nephews,
Ivin Phillips, Jr., Jarvis, Phillips Kemari French, and Timothy Beasley Jr.; two nieces, Taneshia
Toussaint and Kiara Beasley; great niece, Layla; god sisters and brother, Nakeshia Brooks, Tiffany
Lawrence and Demetrius Brooks; god children, Shay Richardson Swanson, Shawn Bond, Tariyawn
Knighten, Dhacari Washington, Jacob Washington, and Alyssa Johnson.
Trina had a host of god sisters, god brothers, god children, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved
friends. She was loved many.
