Kevina Andrea Ward-Bey was born in Los Angeles, California on May 28,
1994 to Adrienne Stamps, who preceded her in death when Kevina was at
the tender age of 4 months old. Kevina’s early plight of experiences in
California led to her being placed in Chicago with her maternal aunt (Zina
Bey) at the age of 1, who later adopted her and her siblings. Kevina was
raised in the church-Life Changer’s International, where she participated
in children’s church.
Kevina from a young age had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She en-
joyed reading, writing, and picking with her siblings. As a child, she en-
joyed having “roasting” competitions against her siblings. Kevina was full
of life and had a good sense of humor. In High School, Kevina competed
on the wrestling team and we believe she went undefeated; cheerleading
team; stepping team and kept a seat warm in the detention center. If you
messed with one of her siblings, you could best believe she was coming
for you!
Kevina had challenges in life, as many teens sometimes do, but she never
stopped loving her family and friends. As Kevina matured, she would al-
ways contact her siblings and mom to wish them happy birthday. She
made sure she never missed one. Kevina was very thoughtful; versatile,
articulate, and could become conducive to whatever environment she was
in.
Kevina departed this earth on February 12, 2021 and leaves to mourn
her passing: biological mother Adrienne Stamps, who preceded her in
death; adopted mother Zina Bey-Rush (Robert), and her siblings Tavares,
Chantia, Braxton, Enjoli, Kevin, Adrian (Alexandria), Brandon, and Javen.
Aunts: Brenda, Easter, Kara (Mike), Kimberly, Patricia, Sheila, Theresa
(Deanne), Tina, Vicki (Sam), and Vida (Gerald). A host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and her best friend Alexandria.
Kevina’s affectious laughter and smile will truly be missed!
