PSALM 34:18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Kionis Lania Watts was not only my daughter but my very best friend.
We talked and texted almost everyday. We were together quite often. I am going to miss
her smile, her sense of humor, and her sassiness.
I don’t know how life is going to be without her in it. From the moment I knew I was
having a girl I was so happy. Kionis also known as Ki Ki was loving, uplifting and kind.
I am going to miss my little girl very much. It is unnatural for children to die before their
parents. This is one of the hardest moments in my life. But when I look at her pictures I
can’t help but smile. When I listen to one of her songs I can’t help but smile.
When I remember her at her best I can’t help but to smile.
She will forever be treasured in my heart and loved always.

Ki-Ki… I miss you and I want to say I love you. I remember one of the first times you made
me laugh when you were really young. While recording I asked you, “Ki-Ki, say hi to the
camera”. And in your cute little voice you literally said “Hi to the Camera”.
Even though we’ve had many laughs since then, I wish we could have more.
You were my only daughter and I hate this gap that’s been forced between us.
Even if only in my dreams for now, I want to see you again soon.
Keep those dances and funny sayings waiting for me. I love you Kionis.
