Lane W. Leflore (Spud) was born November 6th, 1947 in Car-
thage, Mississippi to Wardine Leflore and Willie M. Wilder both
whom preceded him in death.
Lane met, courted and married Joyce Lewis (whom preceded
him in death). They were married in June 1969 and to this
union one child was born Michelle.
Lane attended & graduated from John Marshall High School.
Right after high school Lane joined the United States Army and
was honorably discharged from Vietnam War in 1970.
Lane worked many years at Pepsi of America as a Computer
Programmer until he retired in 2012.
Lane also had a special love for his three grandsons Lane, Jer-
lane and Jalen. He loved fishing, and fixing computers, motor-
cycles, and 6978 Soul Food Restaurant.
Lane leaves to cherish his memories: Michelle (Jermaine); his
three grandsons, Lane (Denetria) Jerlane, and Jalen; eight great
grandchildren, Deandre’, Laila, Drake, Cam’ron, Desi, Lane Jr.,
Mia and ILyn Dae; two sisters, Jo Anne and Christine; three
brothers, Deangelo, Dell, and Eric Wilder; many nieces and
nephews and a host of other family and friends at 6978 soul
food restaurant. A special neighbor Patricia Frazier also known
as Woo.
