Due to Covid-19,
We will not host a repast
He never looked for praises. He was never one to boast. He just went on quietly working
for the ones he loved the most. His dreams were seldom spoken, his wants were very few and most of the time
his worries went unspoken too. He was there…. A firm foundation. Through all our stories of life.
A sturdy hand to hold on to in times of stress and strife. A true friend we could turn to when times were good
or bad. One of our greatest blessings, the man that we called Da.
~Your kids, Shajuanna, Kima, Lejuan, Shana and Shakina
That Broken Chain
We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do
the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God
called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are
always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
~Love Faye
L.C.,
You were more than an uncle to a lot of us and you were the one true father of our family.
You showed us what a man should be to his wife and family. This is so hard because I always idolized you and
my auntie Leda’s relationship. I remember as a child thinking I want my life and family to be just like yours.
You and Leda showed me how hard work and love conquers all and I mimic my own life off of your teachings.
Growing up at your house was everything and you never showed any difference or favoritism –
you loved us all as if we were yours. I truly wanna thank you and Leda from the bottom of my heart for
teaching and showing me how to love and build a strong foundation. Take a bow auntie because you guys
broke the mold on what family and marriage is supposed to be.
~Love De De
So Go and Run Free
So go and run free with the angels, Dance around the golden clouds. For the Lord has chosen you to be with
him and we should feel nothing but proud. Although he has taken you from us and our pain a lifetime will last.
Your memory will never escape us, but make us glad for the time we did have. Your face will always be hidden
deep inside our hearts. Each precious moment you gave us shall never, ever depart. So go and run free with
the angels, As they sing so tenderly and please be sure to tell them to take good care of you for me
~Love your grandchildren
PaPa,
We love you and miss you so much. We wish you was home, so we can keep taking care of you.
We love you PaPa.
~Love Nurse Yummy and Doctor MJ
Lord, you hurt me with this one, but it was all in Your timing. My whole world has been shat-
tered since you left me. I will never stop loving, needing, caring and missing you - you meant
the world to me. I know we all have to take that journey, but I wasn’t ready to let you go. Your
nurse Yummy is having a hard time losing you.
I did everything in my power to keep you safe
L.C., Lord knows I did. Dude, I’m so sorry I
couldn’t be there to protect you - so sorry. No
more constant doctor visits, no more not being
able to eat what you loved, no more not being
able to drink as much water as you wanted, no
more sleepless nights.
Dude take your rest - I will forever love and
miss you! Please keep watching over me. I
thank You God for sending me a real king to
be my life partner and husband for 40 years.
Til we meet again, I’ll love you til I join you.
Rest-up my baby, heaven couldn’t wait.
~Your Loving wife, “Lee”
