Obituary for Lezerick Williams
Lezerick DeWight Williams known as “Greedy” was born on November 12, 1999, in Chicago, IL to Roger
Williams Sr. and Farrah Williams. Lezerick was the youngest son of five siblings.
Lezerick was a very loyal, loving and caring person who was always the life of any party. He was very out-
going and had the ability to make anyone smile, even if they were mad or upset about something. Lezerick
wasn’t shy when it came to eating, he had a love for food which is why his family nicknamed him Greedy.
He grew up on the westside of Chicago where he attended Julia Ward Howe Elementary, Marshall High
School, and graduated from Prosser High School. He continued his education at Alabama A&M University.
Lezerick was very competitive at sports; he grew up playing basketball for AAU teams and played basketball
for every school he attended. He loved spending time with his two sons, playing his PlayStation, making rap
videos, and dancing.
Lezerick is blessed to be survived by: His parents, Farrah and Roger Williams, Sr.; his sisters, CaSandra
(Byron) Laird, Cavousier, Arena and Skyy; his brother, Roger Williams, Jr.; his sons, Lezerick Williams, Jr,
conceived by Deja Morris and Leiland Hudson-Williams, conceived by Meisha Hudson; paternal grand-
parents, James and Murlena Williams; his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Wardlaw; and a host of nieces, a
nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lakia.
Lezerick will truly be missed!
They say memories are golden, maybe that is true. We never wanted memories, we only wanted you.
A million times we’ve needed you, a million times we’ve cried. If love alone could have saved you, you
never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our heart you hold a
place that no one can ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache can make a lane,
We would walk the path to heaven to bring you back again. It broke our hearts to lose you, for you
didn’t go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us plenty
memories, your love will be our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But our love for you will never, ever change.
