Obituary

Linda Charmaine Rogers-Bester was born on May 12, 1959 in
Chicago, IL to James E. Rogers and Dorothy L. Rogers, who preceded
her in death. Her grandparents, Fred Butler and Bessie L. Butler also
preceded her in death.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age. She became a minister on
February 3, 2018 and she touched so many lives with her ministry,
she spoke life into those around her. She was a devoted Christian,
her ministry was called Double Anointed Ministries.
Linda attended Tilden Elementary and Beidler Elementary, Morton
Upper Grade Center, John Marshall High School and Malcom X
College.
Linda worked at Interpark for 22 years, where she held the position of
Foreman. She was loved by her coworkers and her regular customers.
Linda loved to step and listen to music. She loved to laugh and tell
jokes, she was an amazing woman. Linda was devoted wife, mother,
sister and best friend.
On November 3, 2020, at 10:43 p.m., the Lord whispered in her ear
“Job well done, time to come home.”
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories: Her husband, Michael
Bester; her loving son, Freddie; loving daughter, Jazmine; one
brother, Edward Rogers (Denise); two nieces, Janille and Enisha; one
nephew, Edward; one Godgrandson, Rashaad; and a host of other
family and friends.
Mama, no words I write can ever say how much I miss you
everyday. As time goes by the loneliness grows, how much
I miss you, nobody knows. I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
But all I have are memories and a photo in a frame.
No one knows my sorrow, no one sees me weep, but the love
I have for you is in my heart to keep.
I’ve never stopped loving you, I know I never will.
Deep inside my heart, you are with me still. Heartaches in
this world are many, but mine is worse than any.
My heart still aches, as I whisper low, “I love you so much
and miss you so.” The things we feel so deeply are often
the hardest to say, but I just can’t keep quiet anymore,
so I’ll tell you anyway. There is a place in my heart
that no one else can fill. I love you my
beautiful mama, always and forever.
~Love your baby girl, Jazmine
Thank you for being a friend, traveling down the road and
back again. Your heart is true, you’re a pal and a confidant.
And if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew, you
would see the biggest gift would be from me, and the card
attached would say, Thank you for being a friend.
~Love your best friend, Shirley
How you doing? It’s your son. Guess what, I’m picking up a
better life and putting the drugs down. I’m doing things that
I know will make you proud, instead of every time I call,
it’s to bail me out. Oh why didn’t I listen to the things you
told me, knowing that everything that you said would never
fail me. You would say “Freddie I got plans for you, but it’s
nothing I can do if the law get their hands on you.”
But I didn’t listen, not even paying attention. I was just
trying to get mine. It was many days you would get off work,
just to make sure I was good.
Ma, you never judged me and never stopped loving me.
I will forever miss you my super woman.
~Love always, Freddie.
My heart hurts so much. You left this world and me.
There will be no more coffee talks, no more planning on
where to have lunch, no more talks.
My heart hurts, but what I do have is all my
memories of you. My heart hurts, I love you forever.
Your sister, Regina
