Louis C. Bell (Lou Bell) was born on June 14, 1952 to the late Porter Bell and Vada B.
Bell of Summerfield, Louisiana.

Louis attended Mt. Olive Elementary School and also attended Woodson High School in
Hayneville, Louisiana.

Louis Bell was employed at Swash Cemetery and Silver Wise Cemetery. He also was a
forklift driver as well as a cab driver.

Louis is preceded in death by: Porter and Vada Bell (mother and father); his brothers,
Charles Bell, Jesse Lee Bell, Fernand Bell, Eddie Bell and Donzell Bell; sisters, Doris Kelly
and Florene Brown; and his son, Antonio D. Bell.

Louis leaves to cherish his memory: His wife, Glenda Bell; four sons, Gregory,
Christopher, Cedric and Rickie; three daughters, Catina, Denise and Latasha; twenty-
nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Loraine Bell of Arlington, TX; six
brothers, Henry Bell of Sacramento, CA; Porter Bell Jr. of New Brunswick, NJ, Jack
Larry (Teresa) Bell, of Cedar Hill, TX, Billy Wayne (Stephanie) Bell, of Grand Prairie, TX,
Rodney (Louise) Bell, of Grand Prairie, TX, Charles (Loretta) Buggs; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you
and whispered “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away,
and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts
to prove to us he only takes the best

The Love of My Life
Louis Bell leave behind his wife, supporter, companion and best friend,
Glenda Bell of forty-nine years. Glenda and Louis spent many years together
enjoying life, one another’s company, time and affection for one another.
Anytime you saw Louis you better believe Glenda was right beside him, they
were the Bonnie and Clyde to our family a true example of what love should
look like, but most importantly their relationship showed us what sticking
together was all about! Louis loved walking through neighborhood (Berwyn)
with his wife, playing softball, fishing and if you knew Louis Bell, we all know
the party didn’t start until Louis entered the Room!! Because dancing was
one of his favorite things to do. Louis and Glenda loved being around their
children and grandchildren, enjoying family gatherings and unconditional
love. Being able to watch Louis and Glenda for forty-nine years, showed us
the true meaning of love and family. It has been inspiring to us all and will
continue to carry on his legacy. Long live the king, Lou Bell.
