Malcolm is preceded in death by: His grandmother, Ruthie Mae Meridy; and three
uncles, George Lee Champ, Donnie Ray Champ and Dorsey Lee Meridy Jr.

After high school, Malcolm worked various jobs; he was a manager at Walmart, a
delivery driver for the Tide Co., a driver for Hertz rent-a-car and he was currently a

Malcom was a mischievous little boy, but throughout his teenage years and young
adult life he had a quiet gentle spirit. He was always respectful, very well mannered
and kept a smile on his face. Anyone who knew him grew to love him dearly.
Malcolm was born into a time when the village helped raise the kids. Yolonda
Shantell Davis loved and cared for him, so much that some people to this day think
she is his mother. Therefore he gained an entire family. Malcolm loved a game of
basketball especially his one-on-one games with his big brother Maurice and his
nephew Malilk.
His brother got him on a few different teams and he was currently playing for a semi-
pro team, the Bobcats KS. He wasn’t materialistic, but he loved his gym shoes, he
had a shoe fetish.
Malcolm accepted Christ at an early age and served as president of the Jr. Usher
Ministry at Covenant Chapel M.B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles E.
Gordon.
