Obituary for MYRTLENE CRERWS

Myrtlene Crews was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on June 1, 1946 to the union of
Ernest and Maudine Crews. She was the eldest of twelve children.
Myrtlene confessed Christ at an early age. She graduated in Tallulah, Louisiana at
Reuben McCall Sr. High School. Myrtlene later moved to Chicago, Illinois where she
continued her education at Pyramid Career Institute.
Myrtlene was blessed with two sons, Andre and Andrew. She held several jobs while in
Chicago: GE, Post Office…etc. and later retired from West Suburban Hospital in
2015.
Myrtlene was called home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She is preceded in death by:
Her parents, Ernest and Maudine; and two sisters, Edna and Patricia.
Myrtlene leaves to cherish her memories; Two sons, Andre Crews (Angelique) of
Broadview, IL and Andrew Crews (Crystal) of Chicago, IL; nine siblings, Cassie D.
Hodges of Monroe, Louisiana, Clarence Minor Jr. (Eilene) of Garland, Texas, Ray
Charles Winston (Crystal) of Joliet, IL, Minister Loria A. Robinson (Apostle Lee Roy),
Michael Wayne Winston (Nikki) of Tallulah, Louisiana, Denese Cyprian (Sherman) of
Abita Springs, Louisiana, Dirrial Todd Winston and Jeannette Belton (Mark) of New
Orleans, Louisiana; one uncle, Charles Winston of Chicago, IL; one granddaughter,
Ciara Crews of Broadview, IL; four grandsons, Kevin Covington (Shakeita) of Aurora,
IL, Antjuan Crews of Naperville, IL, DaVanta Crews of Broadview IL, and Ashton
Crews of Chicago, IL; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Covington of Aurora, IL;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends
