Obituary for Nevel Myles

Nevel Cornelius Myles was born on February 14, 1967 in Chicago, IL, to the union of
Fannie L. Myles and Cornelius Myles. Both parents preceded him in death.
Nevel received his education in the Chicago Public School System. He accepted Christ at
an early age and was baptized at Central Memorial Baptist Church.
Nevel was a kind and loving hearted person, willing to extend a helping hand to anyone
and very protective of his family and friends.
He was a wise old guy who would make his presence known with his famous call,
“Cuckoo”.
Nevel departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 54.
He leaves to mourn: One daughter, Jamika Macon of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren,
three nephews, one niece and two great nieces; one son, Cordeiro McKnight, who
preceded him in death; one brother, David Snead and one sister, Tanya N. Snead, who
also preceded him in death; a host of cousins and friends; one special lady, Philistia
McKnight; and three very close and dear friends, Cal, Calvin and Tyrone.
We all miss him dearly. Cuckoo!
They say there is a reason, they say time will heal. Neither time nor reason will
change the way I feel. Gone are the days we used to share, but in my heart you are
always there. The gates of memories will never close, I miss you more than anybody
knows. Love and miss you everyday, till we meet again.
Always and forever love you dad, your daughter
