Parrish Moore affectionately known as Perry, was born on October 19, 1961 to Wiley D.
and Luella Moore in Chicago, IL.
He attended Marconi Elementary School and Austin High School.
He was baptized in 1969 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church by the late Pastor August
Minor.
He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
As a child, Perry loved to take things apart and put them back together. His family called
him ‘Mr. Fix-It.’
Perry departed this life on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Preceding him in death was: His
father, Wiley; his sister, Brenda; his niece, Shontal; and his brother, Wesley.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving mother, Luella; his children, Sterling (Tameka),
Samantha, Shannon and Lanon; step-daughter, Jamie; mother of his children, Stella; his
grandchildren, Lin’niya, Tamyra, Cataleyia, Keilon, Ziyah, Darielle, Darveair Jr.; his sisters,
Judy, Barbara (Phillip), Linda and Vernita; one sister-in-law, June; his nieces, Lavinia (Tyrone),
Rozina (James), Monique, Rasheedah, Damita and Ashley; a nephew, Terrance; a host of
great nieces and a great nephew, family and friends.
We little knew the day
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
