Patrick Shane Stokes was born on April 30, 1972
in Chicago, IL. He was born at The University of
Illinois Hospital. Patrick was born to L.C. Stokes
Jr. and Shellie Brown. He was the only child born
to this relationship. There are no other children
born to L.C. Stokes Jr.
Patrick was baptized at Shiloh M.B. Church and
was Baptist.
He attended George W. Tilton Elementary School
and Harper High School. He also attended the Job Corps.
Patrick married Jackie Jackson on December 7, 2013. No children were con-
ceived to this marriage.
His most recent employer, Farmer Fridge, has stood by him from day one of
employment. He was also Team Leader of Sanitation at Farmer Fridge.
Patrick was always a chip off the old block, always smiling and carefree. He
was also very attentive of his mother and stepfather, Ollie. He collected
matchbox and hot wheel cars. He loved to cook, crack jokes and be the life
of the party.
Patrick departed his life at home on February 1, 2022. He is preceded in
death by: His grandparents, Isiah Brown Jr. And Bertha Lee Brown; his
mother-in-law, Cream Crawford; and father-in-law, Tommie Jackson.
He leaves behind: His wife, Jackie Jackson-Stokes; mother, Shellie Brown-
Thomas (Ollie); father, L.C. Stokes, Jr.; brother, Quinton Brother (Retired US
Navy Veteran); Uncle, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Brown (Patricia); bonus son, Miche-
al Jenkins; two grandchildren, Zayden and Arya; Goddaughters, Tinea and
Skylar; Godson, Tyler; mother-in-law, Josephine Jackson; father-in-law, Ernest
Crawford and seven sisters and brothers-in-law; and a host of family and
friends.
