Obituary

Patrick Bovan was born on December 30, 1975 in Chicago,
Illinois to the union of Mayrine Bovan and Jessie McCarrol.

Patrick accepted Christ at the early age of eight and remained
faithful until his death.

Patrick attended Lovett Elementary School and Austin High
School.

Patrick loved his family, especially his kids. He also loved
cracking jokes, partying and being with his family and
grandkids. Patrick had a big heart for everybody.

Patrick departed his life on February 2, 2020. He is preceded in
death by: His sister, Tamika; stepson, James; two aunts and a
host of cousins.

Patrick leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Mayrine
Bovan; father, Jesse McCarrol; three daughters, Patrice Bovan,
Tamika and Myesha; six grandchildren, Niyah, Derriona,
Derrick, Derrion, Royalty and Big Poppa; seven sisters, Aretha,
Debra, Dorothy, Linda, Amber, Latonya Bovan and Felisha
McCarrol; seven brothers, James Bovan, Perry, John, Derrick,
Robert, Brian and Michael McCarrol; seven aunts, two of whom
preceded him in death; a special aunt, Addie Dabbs; three
uncles; a host of nephews, cousins and friends; two special
friends, Ramone and Paresse; and childhood love, Shulonda.
As the sun sets upon this life, and your body
is laid to rest. I know you’ll be up in Heaven,
because God only takes the best. I know you’re
watching over me, and it takes away the pain.
I will carry you in my heart, until we meet
again. My world is a little darker, now that
we’re apart. But the memories are shining
brightly, within this broken heart. You touched
the lives of those you loved, and we wanted you
to stay. But you were needed up in Heaven,
and God whispered, “come this way.” I know
whenever I’m lonely, and this smile becomes
a frown. I’ll look up to the sky above,
and they’ll be an Angel looking down.
Love your relatives,
Dabbs, Moore, Grayer, Jenkins
McCarrol, Bovan and Davis.
"My Brother "
As kids, we lived together
We fought, we laughed, we cried.
We did not always show the love,
that we both had inside.
We shared our dreams and plans,
and some secrets too.
All the memories we share,
Is what bonds me now to you.
We grew to find we have a love
that is very strong today.
It's a love shared by our family,
that will never fade away.
You are my brother not by choice,
but by the nature of our birth
I could not have chosen a better
one you were the best on earth
