Stephen Wayne Taylor was born June 6, 1980. He grew up in
Oak Park, Illinois.
He attended Whittier Elementary School and Emerson Junior High in
Oak Park, Illinois. He played football at the Park District and loved it
so much that he went on to play for Oak Park and River Forest High
School where he graduated in 1998.
He continued playing ball for Harper College and Olivet Nazarine University where he graduated in
2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After college he worked as a police officer for the city of
Bourbonnais, Illinois. However, his passion for football lead him back to Olivet Nazarine University
as a coach.
He moved back home to Oak Park and started working for Alliance Ground International where he was
working on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 when God called him home.
Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents Viola and Wayne Taylor, his brother Gale
Taylor (Taniesha), two sisters Michelle Carter (Greg), and Sharonda Murphy, three nieces Jhanea and
Zakia Taylor, Maliyah White and two nephews Jabril and Zachary Taylor. Seven uncles, nine aunts, his
girlfriend Christine Pletcher and her three children Vanessa, Olivia and Jacques, his mentor Jessie
Rucker, his God parents Elvis Askew and Charlotte Turner and a hosts of cousins, many friends and
coworkers
