In Loving Memory of Tommie C. Weatherspoon Conwell was
born on September 21, 1941 to the late Mary Harris & Late
James Harris. He attended North Division High School &
Milwaukee Technical College in Milwaukee, where he earned his
trade skills. He accepted Christ at an early age where he was
baptized at Good Hope Baptist Church.
Tommie relocated to Chicago IL in the 1960’s where he spent
the rest of his life. He later married the love of his life Minnie
“Mentha” Walker-Conwell. He worked many jobs thought the
years in the Chicagoland area. He was very fun and loving man.
He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Some of his
favorite hobbies included watching old westerns movies, shoot-
ing pool, going fishing and to the casinos. He also enjoyed
attending the Mardi Gras festival in New Orleans, LA over the
years.
He was affectionately known as Tommie C. & Tom. One of his
favorite saying was “Hey Slick”.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving and caring wife,
Mrs. Minnie Walker-Conwell; his children, Darryl, Tommie,
Anthony (Demetria), Michael (Shauna), Gregory, Kriste, Dee-
Dee, Kathleen, and Darryl; stepdaughters Mary” Cookie “and
Pam; he was blessed to have 30 grandchildren, eight great
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; one
special sister, Mrs. Pearlie Henry; and one brother, Mr. James
Harris from Millington, Tennessee
