Willie Lee Birden Sr. was born August 27, 1945 in Walls,
Mississippi to the union of Jesse Bird and Mary Bucher who
preceded him in death.
Willie (Mane) attended school in Walls, Mississippi. He later got
married and started his family in 1964. Shortly after that, he
moved to Chicago where he began his career as a construction
worker for many years.
Willie was known for being a "Jack of all Trades.” He enjoyed
fishing with his two closest friends Shaw and Lewis, but most
of all he loved spending time with his children.
He is preceded in death by: One son, Michael Earl Birden; and
three sisters, Patricia, Ella and Annie.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories: Ten children, Jacqueline
(Caleb), Willie (Carolyn), Galvester (Kenya), Carolyn, Pamela
(Denzil), Calvin (Sara), Darren, John, Anthony and Elinza
(Victor); seven siblings, Juliuse Nathan, Shirley Wilders, Frank
Booker, Nancy Madden, Lillian Madden (Quincy), Bay Bay
Booker and Sam Harris: and a host of grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, cousins and many friends.
You will always be in our heart...because in there you're still
