Malinda Lee was born to Carrie and Wesley Winters on
October 6,1941 in Canton, Mississippi.
Malinda, affectionately known as “Bob,” received Christ
at an early age. Later in life, she would dedicate herself to
Jehovah God and remain an active witness at the Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses until her passing.
Malinda attended elementary school, high school and
some college in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a
machine operator at American Name Plate. She
worked hard until retirement and turned her focus
toward being a dutiful homemaker.
Bob was loved by all who knew her. She lived in the same home for three
generations, therefore she was regularly recognized, not just by family, but by
community members. Ridgeway has been a home to many. Everyone knows if you
were looking for a home cooked meal, slice of pound cake, or slice of sweet potato
pie, Bob would provide. You could also expect a jazzy conversation and a good
laugh. Bob knew just what to say and she would certainly say it.
Malinda entered her eternal rest in the comfort of her home on March 30, 2020.
Malinda is preceded in death by: Her husband, Clayborn Lee; her parents, Carrie
and Wesley Winters; her daughter, Linda Winters; and six siblings, Robert Sr.,
Peter, Margaret, Beverly, Curtis and Raquel.
Malinda leaves behind a loving legacy to be remembered by: Her four children,
Gregory, Darryl, William Earl (Yvette), and Cheri; her four siblings, Janice, Tonya
(Dave), Andre and Bradwick (Loretha); eleven grandchildren; and a host of great
grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and
friends. She also leaves three special friends to cherish her memory: Ruby, Linda
and Sister Trudy.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still
our guide and although we cannot see you,
you’re always at our side
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the
same but as God calls us back home one
by one the chain will link again
~Love your children, Greg,Darryl,
William Earl, and Cheri
Sometimes we don’t always know how to deal
with situations in life that same unreal
Bob, you will forever be here through our
love and thoughts of you my dear.
You're now in a better place--
this is what we must all face,
we will say goodbye, but just for today
as you are only going away.
You’re with Grandma Carrie ,
Auntie Linda and Grandpa Wesley too,
y’all have so much catching up to do.
You made us laugh, you made us think--
from your funny jokes to your subtle wink.
You loved us all, we knew in our hearts,
we’re your legacy now to carry
on your smarts.
We will always love you--we really
don’t need to say.
You know Love is endless,
you're just free today.
When we look to the sky,
we will see your sweet face,
we will tell everyone your stories
from the memories we embrace.
~We love you Bob from your Grandkids,
Great Grandkids and Great-Great-Grandkids
